<p>Comme tous les mardis matin, Camille, qui travaille pour l’ASBL Nos Oignons, accompagne les bénévoles au Potager des possibles à Chastre (Brabant wallon). Fondée en 2012, Nos Oignons est pionnière en matière d’agriculture sociale et de soin en Belgique francophone. Sa mission est de créer des espaces de soin, de lien et de solidarité autour de la production agricole. Concrètement, elle organise des journées collectives chez les maraîcher·es partenaires. Des collaborations sont nouées avec une série d’institutions sociales et de santé, et les patient·es intéressé·es se portent bénévoles pour venir prêter main-forte aux producteur·ices.</p>\n

<p>Pour Olivia, qui a travaillé dans le milieu associatif et social dans une autre vie, ouvrir son champ chaque semaine est très important. « <em>Je crois fortement aux bienfaits de travailler la terre. Ça apprend la persévérance et la patience : quand on a 700 plants à mettre sur une planche, ça paraît énorme au début. Mais en le faisant, on avance petit à petit et finalement, on voit qu’on y arrive. Comme tout travail manuel, c’est très satisfaisant de voir assez vite le résultat de ce qu’on a fait.</em> »</p>\n

<p>C’est précisément ce qu’est venue chercher Claire, ingénieure civile et architecte de formation, en <em>burn-out</em> pour le moment. « <em>Comme je viens d’une famille très cultivée et plutôt intello, j’ai suivi le chemin “classique” et fait ce qu’on attendait de moi, sans que mes parents ne m’obligent à rien. Il y a quelques années, j’ai déjà changé de boulot pour devenir prof de maths. Mais là, je sens que j’ai vraiment besoin d’avoir une activité manuelle. Au potager, je vois évoluer les plantes chaque semaine et ça me fait énormément de bien. Je suis convaincue que le travail physique contribue à libérer l’esprit.</em> »</p>\n

<p><a></a>Centrés sur l’action, les soins verts permettent une entrée différente et offrent une alternative à la verbalisation. « <em>Avoir les mains occupées permet d’être moins dans le contrôle. Même quand on est un peu plus renfermé, récolter des haricots pendant dix minutes nous met dans un état quasi méditatif où on discute plus facilement. Je le remarque sur moi aussi</em> », reconnaît Olivia. Le travail de la terre favorise effectivement un ancrage physique et sensoriel, un apaisement mental comparable à une forme de méditation active. Les médecins confirment que cela contribue à diminuer l’anxiété, améliorer le sommeil et la régulation émotionnelle.</p>\n

<p>Épandage de compost, semis de Grosse blonde paresseuse (une variété de laitue), désherbage entre les carottes, buttage des poireaux d’hiver, tuteurage des aubergines… Il y a du pain sur la planche en ce mardi de post-canicule et tempête. Camille note les désirs de chacun·e et très vite, les tâches sont réparties. « <em>On n’est pas obligés de faire la même chose toute la matinée, on peut changer quand on en a marre</em> », rappelle la travailleuse de Nos Oignons. C’est l’un des principes : personne n’est obligé à rien. Les personnes s’activent à leur rythme, dans le respect de leurs besoins et possibilités du jour. Et ça change tout.</p>\n

<p>Ben, bénévole hyperactif et de bonne humeur en toutes circonstances, empoigne la binette et entreprend de désherber entre les lignes de poireaux. Son expérience professionnelle dans un atelier protégé lui a laissé un très mauvais souvenir. « <em>On devait débroussailler le long des routes. Mon patron ne m’écoutait jamais et n’était jamais content de moi. J’en ai eu marre. Ici, on reconnaît mon travail et ma valeur.</em> »</p>\n

<p>Épuisement professionnel, dépression, autres pathologies psychologiques… Toutes et tous ont un passé. Si l’agriculture sociale est envisagée comme une pratique de soin complémentaire au suivi thérapeutique et médicamenteux classique, le potager n’est pas un lieu de psychothérapie au sens strict. On parle de ses problèmes et préoccupations uniquement si on le souhaite, ce n’est ni demandé ni interdit en soi. « <em>La plupart du temps, on est dans de petites conversations du quotidien. J’ai l’impression qu’on tisse ici des amitiés légères, avec l’avantage de ne pas se mettre de pression. On a aussi besoin de ça dans la vie.</em> »</p>\n

<p>Comme tous les mardis matin, Camille, qui travaille pour l’ASBL Nos Oignons, accompagne les bénévoles au Potager des possibles à Chastre (Brabant wallon). Fondée en 2012, Nos Oignons est pionnière en matière d’agriculture sociale et de soin en Belgique francophone. Sa mission est de créer des espaces de soin, de lien et de solidarité autour de la production agricole. Concrètement, elle organise des journées collectives chez les maraîcher·es partenaires. Ça apprend la persévérance et la patience : quand on a 700 plants à mettre sur une planche, ça paraît énorme au début. Mais en le faisant, on avance petit à petit et finalement, on voit qu’on y arrive. Comme tout travail manuel, c’est très satisfaisant de voir assez vite le résultat de ce qu’on a fait.</em> »</p>\n

<p>C’est précisément ce qu’est venue chercher Claire, ingénieure civile et architecte de formation, en <em>burn-out</em> pour le moment. « <em>Comme je viens d’une famille très cultivée et plutôt intello, j’ai suivi le chemin “classique” et fait ce qu’on attendait de moi, sans que mes parents ne m’obligent à rien. Il y a quelques années, j’ai déjà changé de boulot pour devenir prof de maths. Mais là, je sens que j’ai vraiment besoin d’avoir une activité manuelle. Au potager, je vois évoluer les plantes chaque semaine et ça me fait énormément de bien. Je suis convaincue que le travail physique contribue à libérer l’esprit.</em> »</p>\n

<p><a></a>Centrés sur l’action, les soins verts permettent une entrée différente et offrent une alternative à la verbalisation. « <em>Avoir les mains occupées permet d’être moins dans le contrôle. Même quand on est un peu plus renfermé, récolter des haricots pendant dix minutes nous met dans un état quasi méditatif où on discute plus facilement. Je le remarque sur moi aussi</em> », reconnaît Olivia. Le travail de la terre favorise effectivement un ancrage physique et sensoriel, un apaisement mental comparable à une forme de méditation active. Les médecins confirment que cela contribue à diminuer l’anxiété, améliorer le sommeil et la régulation émotionnelle.</p>\n

<p>Épandage de compost, semis de Grosse blonde paresseuse (une variété de laitue), désherbage entre les carottes, buttage des poireaux d’hiver, tuteurage des aubergines… Il y a du pain sur la planche en ce mardi de post-canicule et tempête. Camille note les désirs de chacun·e et très vite, les tâches sont réparties. « <em>On n’est pas obligés de faire la même chose toute la matinée, on peut changer quand on en a marre</em> », rappelle la travailleuse de Nos Oignons. C’est l’un des principes : personne n’est obligé à rien. Les personnes s’activent à leur rythme, dans le respect de leurs besoins et possibilités du jour. Et ça change tout.</p>\n

<p>Ben, bénévole hyperactif et de bonne humeur en toutes circonstances, empoigne la binette et entreprend de désherber entre les lignes de poireaux. Son expérience professionnelle dans un atelier protégé lui a laissé un très mauvais souvenir. « <em>On devait débroussailler le long des routes. Mon patron ne m’écoutait jamais et n’était jamais content de moi. J’en ai eu marre. Ici, on reconnaît mon travail et ma valeur.</em> »</p>\n

<p>Épuisement professionnel, dépression, autres pathologies psychologiques… Toutes et tous ont un passé. Si l’agriculture sociale est envisagée comme une pratique de soin complémentaire au suivi thérapeutique et médicamenteux classique, le potager n’est pas un lieu de psychothérapie au sens strict. On parle de ses problèmes et préoccupations uniquement si on le souhaite, ce n’est ni demandé ni interdit en soi. « <em>La plupart du temps, on est dans de petites conversations du quotidien. J’ai l’impression qu’on tisse ici des amitiés légères, avec l’avantage de ne pas se mettre de pression. On a aussi besoin de ça dans la vie.</em> »</p>\n
